Senior Rueben Tetteh Sackey, Headmaster of Prempeh College (1985-1996), who holds the best record
for a headmaster in the history of the National Science & Maths Competition, is returning to the job, at least for
a few days, in the faraway Accra.
Headmaster Sackey, cruelly nicknamed Tusker Muller, rewards Senior Sobotey in 1994 after helped win the inaugural National
Science Quiz competition.
Several of our young Amanfoo who never met the men have been trooping to his house all week. His numerous admirers from
the recent graduating classes have been asking him what it takes to bring such prestige and honour to a school.
The former Headmaster's response was unequivocal: "a Headmaster's passion." Mr. Sackey lectured them on how a Headmaster's
passion can always inspire and drive a whole campus to academic glory.
He was surprised t hear how St. Peter's has eliminated us from the competition twice in recent years. He wondered why St. Peter's should even
be put in the same category as Prempeh when, during his time, Peter's couldn't have matched Prempeh in anything. If schools like that are
considered 2-time national Quiz Champions, Prempeh College should be at leats 8-time champions!
This is why he is coming to support the boys against St. Peter's tomorrow. He will also support and motivate the boys on the quiz grounds
at the semi final and final stage.
