After Prempeh recorded the first win in the on-going National Science and
Maths Quiz over APG, expectations have gone high amongst the guys at
Sofoline. Hopes were dampened by the exit of 'Abanoma' Abeiku from the
team but the first win has restored confidence and most of the guys are
optimistic that the trophy is coming back to Sofoline this year.
Find out
what some of them had to say:
I had little hope our contestants for this year's quiz but with this
splendid performance in our first encounter, I don't have anymore fears. I
do hope and believe that we are going to beat our next opponents.
-Ameyaw Kwabena Boateng, 2S1, Serwaa
Actually, wouldn't be surprised if we come home. POJOSS is a very good
school and with the departure of one of our best students, I have little
hope in the contestants. Putting up a very splendid performance against
APG was however very remarkable. But if we are able to overcome POJOSS,
then we will be the school to watch out for.
-
Antwi Emmanuel Asenso, 2B2, Freeman
We've been with the contestants for quite a long time and seen their
preparations. The horses are ready for battle, and Prempeh is just in for
another victory. Well, the end justifies the means, until then, we just
have to watch and wait but for our contestants, they've got what it takes
to win.
-
Opoku Emmanuel Kwadwo, 2B2, Opoku Ware House
Well, I think the boys have done marvelously well by beating the Porter
Girls and I strongly have the hope that they will bring the trophy to the
Royal "EVER GREEN" Land. Even though Abeiku is not around, I know Prempeh
will by all means beat POJOSS.
-
Adjei Kwame Omahene, Health Prefect, 2S3, Ramseyer
I think the boys have done tremendously well. Personally, I didn't expect
such a performance due to the absence of Abeiku but they have proved that
they went there for a fortune. A forty point gap shows how determined they
are. To Archbishop Porter, I say sorry and better luck next time and to
the Amanfoo, more POWER to your elbows. You are the champs.
-
Annku Michael Boafo, 2S2, Freeman
I didn't lose hope easily as other Amanfoo did in the absence of Abeiku. I
knew very well that it was a sign of success. Every student in Prempeh had
the belief we were going to eliminate APG. POJOSS is now the second school
to kick out of our path although POJOSS were winners in 2001. I know with
the presence of Jeffrey, Mawuli and Dompreh, POJOSS can't be a stumbling
block in our way. Prempeh College is going to be crowned champions this
year.
