Almost all the best schools in Ghana are heading towards the capital city
tonight.
The National Science and Maths Quiz kicks off tomorrow. Prempeh,
Presec, Holy Child, St Peters, Wesley Girls, Adisadel, Augustine's, Owass
and many others will make their way to the University of Ghana campus
where the quiz is slated.
At 11am today, the Prempeh College bus left the college with students and
masters of Bolgatanga Sec and Yaa Asantewaa. The Bolga teachers and
contestants were being hosted by Prempeh College for 5 days while Yaa
Asantewaa had help from Prempeh College during their preparations towards
the contest as the prempeh.org donated videos of past quizzes helped them
a great deal.
The bus was supposed to take off at 2pm but had to be shifted
to favour the ladies who felt it was dangerous to reach Accra in the
night.
The bus was full today with Prempeh College contestants and their masters
in it. Even on their way, the Prempeh boys were parctising among
themselves giving credence to how serious the group is even without Abeiku
Ghansah.
Prempeh.org is working behind the clock to make their stay a
comfortable one. Other Amanfoo have promised to also give out some money
to help the boys. All these Amanfoo will have their names published on
this website.
The funny aspect of the trip is that, if Prempeh makes it to the final and
YAGSS and BIG BOSS fail to make it, they will have to wait for Prempeh
College to end the contest on 11th July. Since reaching the final and
clinching the trophy is a certainty for the gentlemen from Prempeh
College, we implore our "wives" the Adehyee to do well as well as our Bolga friends.
