OWASS and KASS (Kumasi Anglican) today joined the Ashanti Regional schools that
are still in
contention for this year's National Science and Maths Quiz trophy.
They join T.I. AMASS, who defeated the boastful Accra Girls by 30 points.
OWASS eliminated Nandom while KASS defeated Takoradi Secondary.
Tweneboah Koduah Secondary of Kumawu and Bekwai SDA were eliminated on
Monday and Tuesday respectively.
Though the progression of 3 Ashanti schools
ignites joy in the hearts of the Oseikrom schools, the thought of the fact
that one school will leave on Saturday to Kumasi brings some sadness.
Prempeh College meets St Louis on Saturday. The quiz which was to take place on Friday
was postponed to Saturday, 24th June.
It is expected that Prempeh sends the ladies back to Kumasi since the ladies
themselves have conceded defeat in advance. Nonetheless, the over-confidence
and complacency that robbed the Kofi Tawiah-led team to be eliminated by
GSTS last year should be a warning to the team.
The boys have pledged to lift the trophy this year so need the backing and
support of all Amanfoo across the globe.
