Thirty eight schools are competing in this year's National Science & Maths Quiz.
This is the first time the competition has has taken place at a neutral ground.
Unlike the previous years when it was hosted by Achimota or Presec in Accra, this year's competition
has been scheduled for the University of Ghana, where the question writers (who incidentally
are Legon lecturers) are expected to be present.
The fact that the University lecturers will be present will ensure that there will be no suspicion of
unfair treatment of any school because they bear witness to the accuracy of answers. Primetime, organizers of the quiz informed prempeh.org that there has
never been a time that the Quizmistress has given unfavourable marks for a correct answer. According to them,
if a contestant gets a question right, there is no way a quiz mistress can claim otherwise.
When asked about the rumours that the organizers have made plans to ensure that no repeat winner wins it for the
third time this year, Primetime staff assured us that it is completely false because they never think about
previous winners.
