At exactly 5:30pm today, the college contestants touched down at the campus
of the University of Ghana, where this year's competition is being held.
The boys left Oseikrom around 1pm today
under the guidance of three masters -- Mr. Francis Kupo (Quiz
coordinator and Physics tutor), Mr Kusi (Head of Maths) and Mr
Addai (Head of Physics). Five more masters (mainly Biology and Chemistry masters)
will join them on Tuesday.
The arrival of the gentlemen had everyone on campus eager to have a
glimpse of them; such has been the trend over the years. The mention of
Prempeh College causes people to shiver. The boys made their way to Legon
hall where they will be lodging.
Our friends from Presec came to welcome them.
As soon as the boys
unpacked their things, they took their books and started reading them
while lying on their beds, which the Achimotans and Presecans found
so shocking and intimidating. Some of our rivals were overheard saying, "ei, they
have started studying already?"
Some Amanfoo in the city of Accra who read from this website that the boys will be
based at Legon, waited for over an hour for the Prempeh flagbearers' arrival. Amanfoo and some
Adehyee were there to see the boys.
According to Sebastian, the quiz captain, they had a smooth journey from
Kumasi to Accra and are really prepared for the task ahead.
