To our surprise, the Sofoline boys have posted fliers on campus inviting all their peers
to tune into prempeh.org for
National Quiz proceedings when it kicks off at Achimota on Monday morning.
The boys took information from our news release here about our coverage of the National Quiz and decided
to incite the whole school to get behind our quiz contestants.
According Senior Prefect Ainoo, the college's computer center is scheduled to be ready by Monday or Tuesday, because of
the switching of internet service provider. Prempeh has cancelled the deal with Africaonline
and has now signed up with Ghana Telecom. Ghana Telecom workers are on hand making the neccessary installations around the
clock, which will ensure that everything will be ready for browsing by Monday or Tuesday.
The boys will be expected to use the facility after 2:20pm on weekdays (i.e., when classes end). They could remain until 7pm when prep starts.
Obviously, they would have all day on Saturday after inspection and prep to browse.
Because the preparation for the contestants has been outstanding, expectations are high on campus.
The masters are also tune in to the site constantly, following the quizzes news with a keen eye.
This is the best staff-students cooperation we have seen on the campus in several years.
Also, unlike the previous years' contestants, this year's 12 representatives are a very internet-happy group; when they are
not studying or preparing for the big showdown, they are on the net reading about themselves.
