The boys who started training
during the last vacation holidays under a special sponsorship from
prempeh.org, did storm Oguaa to test the waters.

They had earlier on beaten
schools like Mfantsipim, Aggrey Memorial and Adisadel College. They were ready
to battlle to the end before leaving Cape Coast.
On Sunday, they travelled to
Holy Child school to have another trial quiz with them. The Holy Child quiz masters in
so much haste used questions that had previously been used by the girls for
some quizzes in their school. This gave the girls an undue advantage over the
boys but the gentlemen from Sofoline had vowed to win the quiz so did not
bother about it.
The competition was very keen with both sides getting all
the questions right till the third round when the ladies took a quick
lead.
In the end, Prempeh College lost to the girls by one point.
The boys were
not perturbed at all since the exercise is to get them stremlined for the
task ahead this June. They then returned to Kumasi to prepare for the
WASSCE exam. The exam ends in the first week of June and that affords them
the opportunity to prepare for extra 17 days before the show down in
Accra.
The co-ordinators however thank prempeh.org for all the contribution
towards the science and Maths Quiz campaign and ask all Amanfoo to
contribute in their small way as they want to compete against schools in Accra and the
Eastern Region before the quiz takes off in June.
