Amanfoo Giving up

A section of the normally highly dedicated Prempeh Old Boys who went to support our contestants
in the NMSQ this year, particularly the Legon brothers, have just
vowed not to go to the Quiz Hall again next year,
until and unless Prempeh reaches the final. These brothers are of the view that
our team doesn't deserve support if they let us down in the early stages of the
competition. But how are the boys to progress to the final if they find themselves
in a hostile environment in a far-off land like Accra where schools from the host
city scoff at them?
Have we soon forgotten the noise the Accra Academy
students made and how nerve-racking it would have been had our own
old boys not been present? What about when the Presecans started singing that
Prempeh is panicky...what if we had no support group there to motivate the boys? Are our Amanfoo saying
that we should give our team support only when they are on the verge of winning a trophy?
Since when did this evolve to be a part of the Amanfoo philosophy? In fact, it will be un-Prempeh for us to go into the next competition
with such an attitude. The contestants of tomorrow are watching.
