Prempeh set a new record today by scoring 107 points in the Quiz.
The previous record was 105, set by Adisadel College in 1997.
When the Quizmistress, Mrs. Eureka Adomako was about to mention the score, she burst into laughter and then
said "Hmmm, Prempeh makes history." She then announced the final score, 107-28.
The total marks should have actually been 110 for Prempeh.
We had a question right but the Quizmistress said it was wrong.
It was a Maths question. Asiamah didn't summarise the expression
and since the woman had only the summarised answer before her, she considered it wrong. Ideally the boys could have argued
for the points, but they did not, because we advised them against it before the show. Protesting of such decisions
last year by our contestants was what infuriated the woman and made her turn against Prempeh in favour of her alma mater.
Risking the scowls from her will be detrimental to our ultimate success. So we advised them not to argue with her this year. And it paid off.
Prempeh has also set a record by becoming the first and only school to answer all the riddles in the National Science and Maths Quiz correctly.
Prempeh also had all the "true or false" questions right, which is also unprecedented.
