National Science & Maths Quiz 2004
Interview with our Quiz team
prempeh.org: Good evening, Seniors.
Team: Good evening
prempeh.org: Why did you guys choose Prempeh?
Louis: I choose Prempeh because it is the best school in
Ghana if not Africa. I say this because of the things that I
used to watch on the television, that is the Science and Maths quiz.
prempeh.org: Of late, Prempeh hasn't done so well in the quiz. So have you
regretted coming to the college?
Louis: How can I regret if I am one of those who will lead the College
to go for the third this year. We will surely make it this time round.
prempeh.org: How do you feel to be a member of the team?
Dwubeng: This has been one of my childhood dreams come true
and I will surely make it a "success dream". I feel so happy and I
promise to bring out the best in me to ensure that Prempeh climbs up
the ladder of success and victory.
prempeh.org: What are your preparations toward the showdown on April 12?
Team: We are really studying and the masters are also doing their
best to help us get all the knowledge there is to go for the third.
The science club was supposed to have a quiz with OWASS which we
represented but we were beaten and you could easily imagine the hostile
attitude they had towards us. There was so much noise that we could hardly hear the quiz master.
Their team had the peace of mind to compute and answer, but the crowd didn't offer us any chance to hear.
prempeh.org: So typical of them. Very typical cowboy behavior which has been with them since 1952. Some things never change.
And when we talk of integrity in Kumasi, there is one school that can never be mentioned. Peruse the National Sports Council archives,
and see for yourselves the number of times that school has been banned from sports.
Team: Anyway, we know such a thing wouldn't happen when we get to Accra for the real showdown
so we aren't perturbed at all. We also had a trial with AMASS (the alma mater of Headmaster ODP)
and we beat them. We don't consider that since they can't stand our strength.
We look forward to trials with schools like PRESEC, BOTWE, GEY HEY to test our strength.
We have also been organising internal trials among ourselves and so we think that we
are really ready for the third.
prempeh.org: What do you have for the old boys?
Team: We inplore the old boys to remember us in their prayers and come to support us.
We hear Amanfoo on Legon campus will be there and we wouldn't let them down.
We are really going for the third so we need the moral, spiritual support and any other support you can mention.
prempeh.org: THANKS FOR SPEAKING TO US, WE SHALL CONSULT YOU FOR ANOTHER INTERVIEW BEFORE APRIL 12
Team: Thank you, Senior.
