The prefects (incoming and outgoing), the ushers, the choiristers and the masters all processed to the field behind the main classroom block at exactly 3.05pm. The students had already sat down awaiting the prefects and masters. They proceeded to the grounds and the choir gave a song after the procession.
The school chaplain then gave a word of prayer after which the choir sang MHB 870: "God dismiss us". This is one song that brings about memories of the past to every old boy. It is sang when Form threes are about to complete school. This time around, it was sang to see of the Form three prefects who were going to give way for a new order. After the song the Assistant headmaster, Mr.K.Y. Yeboah, mentioned the names of the incoming prefects and introduced them to the whole school. The outgoing senior prefects were called upon to hand over the stool that was brought later on by the headmaster.
Assistant Senior Prefect I for 2004/2005, Nkrumah S.O. of OW House, handed over to the new S.P., Ampong
S.O. of Guggisberg House.

The other outgoing prefects were also called to hand over their files and badges. There was the presence of some parents and other old boys who just love the scene of watching new prefects being inducted into office.
The headmaster spoke about the need for the new prefects to be morally upright and set exemaplary lifestyles. He advised the prefects to also see to it that discipline becomes the hallmark of the school.
If spirituality is the only thing that can help the prefects work tirelessly this academic year, then we already have it since the prefects fasted from midnight Saturday to 12 midnight Sunday but since that alone can not do the job, prempeh.org implores the newly inducted prefects to be fair and just and also be morally upright since all eyes are watching them.
