GOLDEN THOUGHTS
By Ebenezer Wireko, Freeman House
For 50 years we've been together
And shared the ups and downs of life,
You've been the one whose strength
Has seen us through the hurts and strife
We've shared a lot of happiness,
You've cared for me when I have been down
And now that you are in need of care,
I'm glad that I'm around
The joys we've shared
Down through the years
Have given us memories by the score
We've been so blessed with so much love
We couldn't ask for more.

CHRISTMAS SPIRIT
By Chairman,
Freeman House 2002
Christmas time is drawing near
Hark! Are those sleigh bells that I hear?
I've been buying gifts in every store,
Now I'm broke so life is a bore
But money isn't everything, so they say
But when bills come due, one must pay
So now I must use credit card or two
Not the best idea but what can I do?
I know, I'll send a poem to the poetry mill,
And perhaps my chance, I will make a kill.
Wishful thinking, that's for sure.
With my luck, I'll still be poor
But with health and love and a great family too,
Who has time to be sad and blue?
Instead I'll say, "thank you, lord"
For being good to me.
As I start out, soon, to look for a Christmas tree.

PREMPEH COLLEGE
By Miah Seth,
Pearson House
PREMPEH COLLEGE
Producing great men since time past,
Ranked first always and never last
Ensuring the steady progress of our nation
Many owe you for such great devotion
Pouring forth students of good nature
Each imbued with Integrity and Character
Heaven seems to be their highest limit.
Cautiously, they guard their esteem as they exit
Of all Schools and Colleges in the land,
Long and tall will you forever stand
Life is better with you around
Everyone is glad that you were found
Great are your works on every side
Ever still the nation's pride.

THE GOOD OLD DAYS
By Ebenezer Wireko,
Freeman House
Gone are the days we stayed in the college
On the brown earthed neat floors
Reading the books all night at Katanga
Our troubles were light.
Gone are the days Katanga would yell and scream
So we would each fulfill our heart most dream,
And be ready for all life had in store
To get the A's and beat all others.
Gone are the days we jumped the walls,
Swinging in tune to the moving night beats of Bantama
When after the rains we rushed to the dining hall.
And all smiled with happy bountiful yields of "Adwete"
But time caught us and raced ahead
And our primal race just about stopped dead
No lights out, No P.I.P,No O-Square gardens, No roll call
Memories are all we have of our pleasant past,
Memories which would a lifetime last.
We parted, dizzied by life's zig-zagged ways,
And gone indeed are the good old days.

THE COLLEGE
By Ebenezer Wireko,
Freeman House
The college that creates a great separation
Yes, a separation above all separations
Where the bad is turned into the good,
Beast into beauty and the wretched into the respected.
A great dichotomy that distinguishes "Amanfoo" from others
The Kings are known from the servants.
PREMPEH COLLEGE, what would my plight have been?
PREMPEH COLLEGE, without you, I would have been no where.
No where like where others lay.
How they wished you had trained them.
How they wished you had given them the breast milk of DISCIPLINE,CHARACTER and INTEGRITY.
PREMPEH COLLEGE, the moulder, transformer and elevator of mankind.
Without you, like God, man is nothing.

MY FUTURE
By Adu Abraham,
3S5, Butler House
Yesterday is gone, forget it
Tomorrow does not exist, don't
Worry
Today is here, let's carry on
The future is unknown
Let's therefore give thanks to God.
For his showers of blessings over us
After heavy loss of opportunities
After long days of sorrow
After horrible days of disappointments
After long days of misfortunes
God has made me under stand
That whatever comes in my way is my fortune
