NEW VIDEO RECORDING EQUIPMENT FOR PREMPEH

In anticipation of the Prempeh.org Inter-House Science & Maths Quizes League, this website has introduced video recording devices to the school to facilitate archiving of the contests. To actually hold a quizes league with hundreds of competitions, without a record of the events would be tepid.

By keeping a video archive of the contests, the contestants could not only prepare for their opponents very easily, they could benefit from the video as a learning tool. It will also help Prempeh's national quiz contestants.

In fact, in 2 or 3 years, Prempeh would have a video archive so large that the school's national quiz contestants would have exposure to nearly every question under the sun and the various ways the questions could be presented.

This is because of the fact that the Prempeh Inter-House Quizes League is designed to parralel and be a carbon copy of the national quiz. One can imagine what Prempeh's quiz achievements will be in 5 years time.

Prempeh College traditionally does not record important campus events on video. All the College's archives are limited to photography. The only times the College records events on video are when the President of the Republic comes to the campus. Consequently, a majority of our Speech Days and other important milestones are not on video.

With this prempeh.org video camcorders at the headmaster's disposal, the College can record all the essential activities on video without incurring any debt. The College and the website will use the video cameras to enhance the Prempeh experience.

Prempeh.org will also be transformed, beginning September 2005, with powerful videos at this website. Videos of entertainment, inter-house activities, handover ceremonies and others will be readily available at the MULTIMEDIA section of this website.

It is ideas such as this that inspired Prempeh Board of Governors member Mr. Effah-Amponsah to call the webmaster, who funds the website and sponsors the college activities with his own cash, "an angel among us." The Board has been particularly impressed with the Science & Maths Quizes league, and they clapped for a long time for the webmaster when the idea was presented to them on last week.
