The banner for the Prempeh.org Inter-Houses Quizzes League inauguration, which was hung at the school gate ahead of the October 21 inauguration ceremony, has finally been taken off the school entrance by our webmaster.

When the banner was taken off last week, soccer captain Ahmed Amoako took the banner for keeping. He has been using it as his bed sheet. The banner that had been soiled by rain repeatedly at the school gate is wrapped around Ahmed's mattress, because it will "confer a high GP" (or "grabbing power," that is, the ability to get any lady he wants).

Ahmed believes that having a banner with prempeh.org in it is priceless. This is why he guards the memento with a keen eye in the dorm because it has sparked envy among the Aggrey boys.

He feels that with the increasing popularity of prempeh.org among Ghanaians of all institutional affiliations, a time will soon come that the site will even become a tourist attraction. And when that time comes, he wants to be able to say that he has a close affiliation with the program, as attested by the ready availabilty of a prempeh.org souvenir banner -- a banner that launched the nation's first quizzes league program.

Moreover, he feels that when our science quiz competitions are being shown on television during Christmas holidays along with a re-telecast of the Quizzes League inauguration, he will be able to brag to his peers from other schools with the program's banner. And that will elevate his GP even higher.

Ahmed is also grateful to the site because it was here that the coach of Virginia Tech read about him. The coach, who will fly into the country to meet with Ahmed in January, has been following Ahmed's progress at this site and keeping in touch with him constantly, including via Ahmed's prempeh.org email.
