As the days go by, the National Science and Maths Quiz contestants prepare
seriously towards achieving what their predecessors have not achieved for the
past 9 years. The boys are motivated and bent on setting a record by
annexing the trophy for keeps in the whole of Ghana.
The boys, who started
training during the last vacation holidays under a special sponsorship from prempeh.org,
did have an open quiz before the
whole school on Friday at the Osae Assembly hall.
The quiz marked the
beginning of a series of quizzes that will help the science and math quiz
co-ordinators select the best three who will represent the college. All the
contestants are geared up for the show since each person wants to be among
the finest three who will do battle for the college come next year at the
National Science and Maths Quiz.
Six of the 12 selected contestants were placed in 2 groups of 3 constestants
each, called Group A and B.
Asare Baah Andrews of OT House.

Group A
Aning Daniel Gyawu (Aggrey)
Yeboah Tannoh Lewis (Serwah)
Okyere Prince Sebastian (Butler)
Group B
Agyeman Harry Kwaku (Ramseyer)
Adom Baafi Gideon
Asare Baah Andrews (OT)
Group B beat Group A 67 to 53.
Notice from the list that
Group A members represented Prempeh in the Ghana Science Association - Cocoa Marketing Board Science Quiz
in October. The defeat of this team by a wide margin today means that those guys were not our best, unless
if they had a "bad day" today.
