QUIZZES POSTPONED FOR THE WEEKEND

The quizzes scheduled for this weekend has been postponed. Renovation at the assembly hall has begun. They are renovating the stage and the panelling over there this week.

Furthermore, some of the quiz contestants join the Prempeh debating team that is going to Cape Coast on Friday. It may be recalled that in August 2005, prempeh.org sent as part of our Operation Tripple Crown sponsorship package funds for our debaters to tour Cape Coast with our school quiz team.

That money is being used finally for that trip tomorrow and some of the quiz contestants are going on that trip becuase they are actually members of the school debating team.

Yesterday we sent in some nice tables to be used for the quizzes instead of having the contestants sit on classroom desks like Gberg and Pearson contestants did in the first quiz.

We also sent to the school yesterday 3 microphones and banner curtains to be displayed on the walls behind the competing teams. The microphones are to be used for the quizzes only: one for the quizmaster and the others for the opposing teams.

The stage is to be decorated with the banner curtains during the competition. Any time the camera focuses on a team, the only thing our the TV audience should see behind the contestants is the banner curtain.

Name tags to be placed on the tables with the names of the houses and the contestants have been developed by Prempeh's visual arts students. The tags are elegantly designed; the name of each contestant is written in a smaller font with the house's name in larger letters. Nicknames and abbreviations such OT and G'berg are eliminated. The names have been written in full to facilitate easy comprehension by the national audience.

Prempeh.org is hiring TV3 to have 2 of our inter-houses quizzes broadcast on television nationally in the next 2 weeks. We plan to pay for one quiz to be shown on television on one weekend every month. Next week's quiz will likely be shown on television on the weekend.
