ALAALA LOSES VOICE

The Senior Prefect, Ampong S.O., who wrote his speech several days ago and has been ready to speak on national television, discovered to his surprise this morning that he has lost his voice completely. When he spoke to us by phone very early this morning, we could not even hear him.

He marched to the headmaster's residence very early this morning to inform him. The Headmaster gave him the same advise we offered him: to hand that task to Demitiah W.K.O., his deputy, who will accept it with glee.

That means Demitiah's task of leading the boys to sing the school anthem at the end will be delegated to Asamoah-Adu, the 2nd Assistant Senior Prefect.

Ampong is devastated that his family and friends will not get to see him speak on television. To appease him, we are arranging with TV-3 to interview him after the show, in a small segment entitled, "An interview with the Senior Prefect of Prempeh College." This will ensure that he gets recognition on television as "the main man."
