ARE NON-SCIENCE STUDENTS BEING NEGLECTED?

Great initiatives need to be commended

I must confess that I cherish all the great
things that the site is doing for Mother
Prempeh. Organising such a quiz league is
the first of its kind in Ghana and I commend
you for that. Keep it up, Seniors and I would
be glad if we keep this to ourself since people
are going to learn from us. A typical example
is our friends from Santasi. They will definitely
start something like this very soon. I will also
be glad if you can also extend this to other
sectors of the school. Prempeh people like discriminating
too much. Everything is science, science, science.
When we were in school, the science students had everything
first starting from the Awura Abena uniforms to................Yagss mmaa no.
This should cease. We are all one. Obia nye obia.
I also entreat all the students to learn hard and join us at Legon here.
Da place dey jom.

Our non-Science students are not considered any less important than their science counterparts.
They are equally cherished, in our view.
However, this year provides a golden opportunity for Prempeh College to reassert her superiority
over others, particularly in the Sciences. This is because, along with a few other schools, Prempeh has won the prestigious National Science & Maths
Quiz competition twice.
The rule of the national competition is that, should a school win it 3 times, all the wins of the other schools are nullified and a new series of the competition
is started afresh with a new trophy, since the old trophy would be kept by the three-time winner.
Accordingly, if there is a time that Prempeh's science training needs a boost, this is it! That is why much attention is being accorded the science program.
This does not in anyway imply that they (science students) are more important.
In fact, the business and arts students are all in our plans this year, and it would not be long before we launch special programs for them. Besides, let us not forget
that they are all benefiting from the soccer league.
In addition, we are sponsoring the Writers & Debaters Club in the National Independence Debate Competition, which is
part of the Prempeh.org "Tripple crown" concept, which is, to win the National Science & Maths Quiz Competiton, the National Milo Soccer Competition and the
National Independence Debate Competition.
If we succeed in achieving this goal, we will make history by becoming the first school to achieve such an honour.
