WHY DO YOU LOVE PREMPEH SO MUCH? HOW MANY GIRLFRIENDS DO YOU HAVE?

Just as we addressed the student body in July 2005, last Wednesday, August 31, 2005 was the day the headmaster invited us to address the Prempeh College teaching staff and introduce the Prempeh.Org Inter-Houses Science & Maths Quizes League to them.

The Headmaster had called us the week before and asked that the webmaster appear at the Staff Common Room on Wednesday morning, though he was on a mission in Sunyani watching the Inter-Regional games. He left Sunyani on Tuesday to hold his first staff meeting of the new school year and returned to the Brong Ahafo capital after the meeting.

Prempeh teachers: they are very funny. We thank them for their time.

There in the Staff Common Room, all the staff asked the webmaster interesting questions, including questions about the wife and girlfriends in his life and the number of children, if any. One master offered to give his daughter for marriage.

But the most intriguing question was "Why do you love the School so much? Why are you using your money for this? Why do you continually show the school so much love? Why? Why?"

Some expressed concern about the soccer league. They feared we may abandon it because of the Science Quizes league. We had to allay their fears by stating that Prempeh.org is helping the school target a "tripple crown" this year.

The tripple crown includes the national Milo soccer championship, which the Prempeh.org Soccer League is to prepare the College for; the national Science & Maths Quiz competition, which the Prempeh.Org Quizes League is to help the College win for the unprecendented 3rd time; and the National Independence Debate competition.

They also suggested that we hire Metro TV instead of TV-3, since the latter will be so expensive to hire. But since we are bent on making this event grand, we insisted on hiring the most prestigious television station in the land notwithstanding the costs.

This lighthearted session with the humourous and engaging masters of Prempeh College is a memorable one we will even carry into our dotage. We thank them for a wonderful time and their understanding.
