Prempeh fall in 2006 national final; the ghost of 2004 returned

Saturday, July 1, 2006

Prempeh College today lost the national football final by a lone goal. Our great squad was defeated by an equally outstanding program from the Central Region -- Potsin AMASS.

The lone goal came around the end of the first half; we tried every trick in the book to equalise but it did not work.

Prempeh needed to win this match to become the first school to win the national championship back-to-back.

In fact, had it not been for our great conquerors from the Central Region, we could have won the national football championship for an unprecendented 3 consecutive times; the Oguaa folks beat us on penalty-kicks in 2004.
