Prempeh College today qualified from their group in the on-going National Milo
Soccer competition in Koforidua after defeating Upper East Regional champions,
Bolgatanga Secondary. The defending national champions
went into the competition having lost their
ace striker, Charles Brenya through an accident.
Charles Brenya, affectionately called Striker, had a nail pinched into his boot 5
minutes to the start of the match against Bolgatanga Secondary. Charles Brenya was
then rushed to the hospital.
Prempeh notwithstanding won the game through goals from Collins Amponsah, who has
now improved tremendously at goalscoring after he showed some poor performance during
the Regional Milo Competition.
A second goal from Sadat Karim sealed the victory for the Amanfoo. Prempeh now
moves from their group to the semifinals and are likely to meet Obuasi Sec Tech who also qualified
from the Ashanti Region.
