Prempeh beat Volta champions 2-0

Monday, June 26, 2006

The defending Champions of the National Milo football contest today proved to all their determination and zeal to keep the trophy to themselves.

This year's National Milo soccer festival kicked off with Prempeh College, the defending champions unveiling the curtain with a match against St Prosper Secondary school in the Volta Region.

The magical duo who form the striking force of the Prempeh College team showed so much zeal and enthusiasm at winning the game. It was no surprise when both players, Charles Brenya and Collins Amponsah scored in a game that ended 2-0 in favour of the Amanfoo.

Prempeh College played with the usual 4-4-2 formation with Ahmed Deedat, the captain of the team manning the affairs at the rear. The whole of Koforidua supported the gentlemen from the college since they played a spectacular and fluid game to the amazement of all present. Their opponents in the second half were caught looking at the boys instead of concentrating on the game.

Prempeh College meet Bolgatanga Secondary School (BIG BOSS) tomorrow at 1pm in their second match.
