National Player of the Year, Ahmed Amoako, who has been invited
to the national under-17 team,
will captain the squad.
Our defending national champions will play their last football friendly match with the
famous
Cornerstone FC of Kumasi today before embarking on their Koforidua title defence on
Saturday.
The prestigious national Milo football competition is being held from June 24 to July 2nd in the
Eastern Regional capital.
Prempeh has already beaten several professional sides. Our boys drew 1-1 with
Stefan FC (away), beat Wesley College 2-1
at home, drew 3-3 with Wesley College at their home and beat Envoys FC 2-1.
Prempeh's only loss in the 2005/06 academic year was suffered in December -- a lone goal defeat --
when we did not have
our first choice strikers available.
It became evident after the defeat that our conquerors, who benefited from an
offside goal in injury time, had fielded a non-student goalkeeper.
