To help the alma mater prepare adequately for the National Inter-Schools Science & Maths Quiz competition,
prempeh.org has set up a program that has received tremendous support from the Prempeh
Board of Governors: An annual inter-houses Science & Maths Quizzes League Competition
will begin this year (September 2005).
The 9 houses are grouped into 3 groups of 3 each, with each
house facing the other intra-group members twice and
facing each of the other 6 houses once.
The winners of the 3 groups and the best second-place team will qualify for the semi-finals. Each house will present 5 representatives (three from form 3 and one from form 2), including 2 reserves.
Made of gold, the Science & Maths Quizzes League trophy will make its public appearance when the Headmaster brings it out
for our national television audience on Friday October 21.

A new Prempeh.Org Science Quiz Library has been opened on the top floor of the Science Resource Center,
which is decorated with science books and dictionaries and Science Quiz videos for Prempeh's Quiz contestants to use.
This special library will also be available for inter-house contestants from each house to use. DVDs of last year's
competition has just been ordered for the library.

The quizzes will last one hour per contest and it will be held on Friday
evenings, with 3 or 4 matches each Friday night.
The sponsorship package of the First Annual Prempeh.Org Inter-Houses Science & Maths Quizzes League Competition includes the
fursnishing of the special Science Quiz Library with books and national quiz videos, which is already complete; trophies and prizes for the competition; incentives for the Quiz masters to
set the questions during this vacation and sponsorship of the quiz team's travels around the country for trial quizzes.
