Freeman House
Felix "Abiggie" Yeboah
We can not categorize his talent because
he played and excelled in so many sports. An excellent football player,
the indefatigable Felix Yeboah was a member of the Prempeh dominant Hockey
squad for years. He may be remembered for all the goals he scored during
the 1986 and '88 Hockey Competitions. He also represented us in the shotput.
More grease to your elbows Abiggie!!
Mafia
A Freemanite who loved Pearson so much,
his name was a household word before the Kooras and Billy Murphys. He was
a 100 meters runner. His unique style and dress codes won him the hearts
of all schools in Ashanti Region. It was therefore no wonder when girls
in most schools started wearing the "Maafia Fun Club" badge during
the 1978-80 superzonals. Note: this Maafia is different from the Maafia
of the late 80s (the son of Mr. Lawson).
S. Owusu "Torino" Mensah
For his excellene in athletics, Ghana's
First President sent his Minister of Sports to our campus to crown him
"The Osagyefo Golden Boy." A national radio show paid tribute
to this Prempeh hero. A history of Prempeh College is not omplete without
the mentioning of Mr. Owusu-Mensah. He put Prempeh on the map in those
days.
Ahedor Koblah
One of our most reliable weapons during
the Inter-Collegiate athletics. Was always ahead on the scoreboard in the
shot-putt and discus category.
Annor "Anatoma" Kwakye
A superb sprinter and a key member of the 400m,
400x4 relay teams of the mid-70s. He became a force to
reckon with in the Asante Region and the Triangular Games (400m,
4*400m, 800m).
Maxwell K. Gyamera
'Dandy Dallas'
One of the greatest high jumpers of the 1970s.
K. Gyaateng
A great discus thrower of the 70s.
A.K. Agyei
Played Table Tennis several years for Prempeh. A real
T.T. guru Kwasi had devastating top spins in his racket.
