Extending Knowledge and Integrity

Because of our tradition of excellence and our inspiring motto Suban ne Nimdee, Prempeh College has always been the training ground for future Headmasters. Being the most respected all-boys institution in the Ashanti Region means that Prempeh teachers are the most sought after when a Headmastership vacancy opens in another school. Over the past 2 decades, more than 30 Prempeh teachers have been sent to run other schools, especially schools where discipline is a problem. And this year, our own Assistant Head has been promoted to Headmaster at OWASS, where he'll extend our Suban ne Nimdee philosophy to the less fortunate.

Prempeh Prefects wear badges; OWASS boys now do the same When he was asked whether OWASS can hold a candle to Prempeh, he replied, "I can make OWASS better than Prempeh as I helped Prempeh when I was in charge of the Science and Math Quiz." By saying that he can make OWASS better, he inadvertently underscored the chasm in class between The Kings College and the mere Catholic School. Hmmm. He can make them better than Prempeh. Someday.

He also stated that he is his own man, and that "if the policies and philosophies are right," he "will surely use them." When this fine gentleman and humanitarian was appointed to that position, some people opposed him simply because of the position he (may likely) represent.

But not being the one to bow to inane distractions, the outstanding gentleman has set out on a mission to make Opoku Ware School campus an extension of Prempeh College. His Prefects just started wearing the same thing Prempeh prefects wear. OWASS' prefects now put on badges. At first they never had it until Mr. Anokye went there. They wore only trouser to differentiate the prefects from the other students unlike Prempeh. Now all form threes put on trousers with the prefects putting on the badge. What is next? Only time will tell.

Bravo, Mr. Anokye, you're a great humanitarian who belongs to the same caste as Mother Theresa, for your work concerning enhacement of human minds and advancement of integrity.
