Senior Oppong Oduro Kofi - National Best Student (SSSCE) for the year 2000 who received a Presidential award (presented by President Kufuor) on Independence Day, March 6, 2001. With him are the then Headmaster, Mr. E.A. Sekyere and Asst. Headmaster Mr. Stephen Anokye. Some of the Prempeh boys accompanied him to Accra for the award. He's currently enrolled at KNUST Medical School where he is their best student.
This is not the only year in which a Prempeh student topped the whole nation. The National number one student has always come from Prempeh. In fact, Headmaster Sackey (Headmaster, 1985-1996) was famous for producing the Best Student in the nation in the O-Levels (and sometimes the A-Levels during) during his years as the Head of the Kings College. In the years when Prempeh as a whole did not top the exam, one candidate from Prempeh always topped the nation. More of such records will be compiled here for you in the near future. Stay tuned.
