Henry Mensah, winner of the form 2 category
The prempeh.org Essay competition is
complete with winners already selected.
The form 2 winner is Henry Mensah of Opoku Ware House while the winner of the
form one category is Adjei Francis Kennedy of Aggrey House.
The essays were marked and the winners selected entirely by the English Department. We played no role in the selection
of the winners, nor did we lay down any marking scheme or selection criteria.
The form 3 category was cancelled because the graduating seniors were busy with their exams
and completed the school year
earlier than the rest of the student body.
Each of the winners will receive from the hands of the Headmaster a prize of
C1 000 000.00 at closing assembly on Tuesday, July 26, 2006.
We originally planned to give the cash award plus a trip to Accra to spend a few days with The Director-General of
the Ghana Health Service, Prempeh's own Dr. K.A Akosa. But since the professor is on his way out of the country for
an assignment abroad, that component of the prize is not possible this term.
Prempeh.org takes this opportunity to congratulate these brilliant duo and wish them well
in their future aspirations. We are particularly happy about all the Sofoline boys who
took their time to patronise our competition. We wish them success as well.
