Dining Hall Report 2002/03
28th July 2002 was the day an old page was closed and a new one opened in the prefect’s register of Prempeh College. This was the day the very competent and brilliant student was selected to take over the mantle of leadership.
During our reign as the Dinning Hall Prefects, though there were many ups and downs, we were able to settle every form of impediment that found it’s way in our path.
Firstly, a new Dinning Hall (annex) was built during our reign by the 1979 old students group and through this great accomplishment, the dining hall is able to accommodate about 2000 students. Previously we had two dining sessions, a first batch and a second.

Secondly, though the school menu was quite appetizing, we were able to untangle ourselves from any fury of complains by bringing several changes, formerly, there were no table for SDAs, through several dining hall committee sittings, the SDA and the sportsmen of the School now have several meetings with the school head, we were able to implement the eating of fried plantains with beans. Though it’s rather unfortunate, this practice isn’t throughout the term but it’s it better than none. This has rather caused the menu of the school to be one of the most appetizing and best menus of schools in the Ashanti Region if not the whole country.
Fourthly, about four speakers and a high quality public address system has been purchased. This has enhanced announcement in the dining hall by making them clearer than before. More so, the refurbishing of the dining hall by replacing old benches and tables with news ones has really improved the conditions of the dining hall. Gone were the days that discipline had fallen in the dining hall; during our era, the dining hall prefects were able to institute various measures and disciplinary mechanisms. Everything was achieved with the help of our teachers: O2, Manomaa, Madamfo, and Prof. Sam as well as the entire prefectorial body. Thanks in profusion.
