Our boys who won the Otumfuo's Adae Kese Debate several days ago passed the torch to the young ones who will be representing the Kings
College next year. These year's outstanding contestants were
Papa Yaw Ohene Konadu (OW),
Gyeabour Kwasi Owusu (OT),
Kharliq Abdul (Ramseyer), and William Demetiah. However, since William is a form one student, he'll get the opportunity
to lead the school's famous debate team for two more years.
The Deabting team on March 3rd won
the prestigious National Independence Day Debate in front of a live national
television audience by defeating Accra's PRESEC 204-198 points. William was the supporting speaker for the Prempeh team.
The quartet also won the Adae Kese debate, which formed part of the activities marking the celebration of
the Asanteman "Adae Kese" festival and the fifth anniversary of the enstoolment of Otumfuo Osei
Tutu II, as the Asantehene.
Congratulations to Papa Yaw, Gyeabour K.O., and Abdul Kharliq for a magnificient school year. All four gentlemen have left
footprints on the sand of time. They have made history as Prempeh's first national debate winners; moreover, they have set an excellent
example to be followed by Sofoline boys of the future.
