Pearson sets new record in Cross Country


Saturday, October 29, 2005

The inter-houses cross country was held at 5:30 am today.

There were 54 athletes in the competition, of which 6 were from each house. Senior Batule, the Assistant Sports Prefect from Pearson set a new record of 40 minutes after going around the campus for eight times.


The starting line

Second was Sabbat of O.W. House. Third was Simon of Butler and 4th was DaCosta of OT House. The rankings are as follows:

2. Sabbath Adusei
3. Simon
4. Nana Boakye Ampofo
5. Ankomah Dacosta
6. Asafo Agyei
7. Kyei Kwabena
8. Acheampong Badu Nicholas
9. Obour Samuel
10. Obour Ampadu Martin

Batule used approximately 40 minutes to go round the whole school 8 times. He was the most feared among the athletes and everyone was shouting his name. He is a member of the school team and partakes in the 5000m. They started from the school gate and passed through the Serwaa road to O-square and behind the school field and then to the administration.

Congratulations to the boys who will get the chance to represent Prempeh in the Inter-Schools Cross country competition.
