Goloe running in Obuasi

Ghana's contingent to the 2006 Commonwealth Games have left for Melbourne to represent the country.

They left without Prempeh's Goloe, who, at a remarkable age of 16 years, holds the fastest time of 10.4secs in the 100 meters.

Goloe missed the national trials for the selection of the squad which was held about 2 days after Prempeh competed in the zonal athletics in Obuasi 3 weeks ago.

Goloe, semi-finalist at the World Youth Athletics in 2005, suffered an injury while running for Prempeh at Obuasi and could not join the national team in Togo for the trials.

Prempeh's Atiso, Class of 2005, made the national team when he qualified at the trials. He is in Melbourne with the team.

Goloe returned to the soccer field today when the Prempeh soccer team began training today towards the national Milo football competition coming next month.
