Eric Goloe was awarded the Best track athlete while Collins Amponsah received the Best
field athlete for 2005. In addition, Goloe was awarded the annual Ashanti
Athlete of the Year for 2006.
Goloe won it in 2004 and Prempeh's Atiso won it in 2005 and now Goloe wins it for a second
time.
However, when Goloe was given the award, he was asked not to open it. He had to turn in
the "heavy box" back to the Sports Council officials because the officials want to come to
campus and present it to him. So Eric has been eagerly anticipating the award presentation
at Sofoline.
The "heavy box" could be a computer or a television. We are all eager to find out what is in it.
