YAGSS Headmistress promises a party for our stars

Thursday, March 2, 2006

Follwing the Kings College's great victory in athletics, the headmistress of the Yaa Asantewaa Royal Girls Secondary school has promised to throw a party for the athletes of the Kings College.

The Prempeh team, 2005 champions of track and field, went straight to YAGSS to celebrate.

Not only will the Prempeh boys enjoy the food but they will also have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful day with the athletes of Yaa Asantewaa Girls. This will afford the athletes who are shy of girls to have the opportunity to free themselves of that "ailment."

The headmistress made this promise when the Prempeh boys besieged the campus of Yaa Asantewaa Girls on the evening of Tuesday when they returned from Obuasi carrying the trophy with them.

The boys were met by the headmistress of Yaa Asantewaa who complimented them and gave that promise. The students who are not athletes therefore appealed to the senior prefect to act on their behalf so that they can take part in the get-together that will be organised by the headmistress for the athletes.

The party will take place after the mid-terms.
