Fokuo ready to lead our relay squad. Collims and Ahmed are right behind him.
The man who has become the talk of campuses in Ghana now, Eric Goloe, today
showed his class once again as he finished the 200m race several seconds
ahead of his colleagues. Goloe thus qualifies for tomorrow's 200m race final
alongside John Fokuo who later won a last minute 200m heat race for Prempeh
College.
Eric Goloe, however, proved that he is the champion when it comes to
200m race as he took the first position with John Fokuo taking the seventh
position in the final of the 200m event.
Earlier on, Goloe and the illustrious Ahmed
Deedat took the first and second positions respectively in the 400m
race. Ahmed above all doubts was the toast of the fans and supporters at the
Obuasi Len Clay stadium since everyone thinks the footballer is showing his
nimdee and suban to all. He is a thousand in one man.
Prezegette, the youngster, came 2nd in the 1500m race while Batule took the
3rd position. Though Prezegette didn't want to run the 800m race because
he feels that it is not for him, he tried his best today as he came 5th with
Eric Nyarko coming 4th in the same event.
Ahmed won the 110m hurdles with Collins also winning his hurdle heat race.
The final is set for tomorrow.

At the end of Day 1, Prempeh led with 24 points followed by 17 points from Aduman
Secondary and Opoku Ware having 15 points. The events for tomorrow are the
Hurdles final, 100m final, 5000m race, long jump, high jump, javelin, discuss, 4 xy 100m, and 4 x 400m.
