Livingston Kodua of Serwah house.
The interco-colleges and schools athletics competitions continued today at 9am to decide who wins the trophy. The competition was expected to be very keen as the gap between the first three schools was narrow. It was the day of any of the three top schools to claim the ultimate prize.

The competition started today with 400m race in which Ghana's fastest youth, Eric Goloe came out first with Ahmed Deedat, the school's soccer captain taking the 2nd position.

Even as the 400m race was taking place, Prempeh College's athlete for the javelin was also leading but later placed second. Abdul Aziz of Aggrey house who happens to be the best javelin athlete in the Kings College was not disappointed at all when he placed second. The enthusiasm and the zeal to annexe the trophy for Prempeh College made him come first in the pole vault event while Paul Addai (also called M'anomaa) came 4th after he had an injury on the field.

In the long jump, Livingston Koduah of Opoku Ware house came second while Joseph Karikari also came second in the men's shot put event.

Prempeh College still needed points and with victories from the latest sensation in long distance race, Prezegette Joseph, and the cross-country record holder Elijah Batule clinched it. They came first and second respectively in the 5000m to give Prempeh the maximum points.

The indefatigable sports prefect of our time, Collins Amponsah of Freeman house also came first in the high jump after setting a record of 14.24m on the triple jump event yesterday while Kwabena Owusu Dwomoh of Opoku Ware house placed 4th.
