Aggrey leads inter-houses after Day 1

Friday, November 18, 2005

TThe inter-houses athletic competition started yesterday with a lot of excitement. All the houses chanted and made a lot of noise with the Butler house and Freeman being the great cheer houses.

As predicted, Pearson house and Guggisberg were not left out, they also cheered their athletes at their various common rooms even before they made it to the Prempeh park. The programme was attended by all the stafff since there was no classes after breakfast.

the whole school moved to the school field after the usual morning porridge.

The headmaster, Mr. Owusu-Achiaw then stressed the need for exercises and events such as this in our various institutions. He said, "this exercise will help our school to annex the trophy come next term at the Inter-colleges and super zonals. This is the year that Prempeh must sweep all awards and trophies in Ghana."

He further went on to say that, "if we take part in any competition, automatically, it must be ours."

The competition then took off.

At the end of Day 1, Aggrey house led all the houses by four points followed by Opoku Ware and then Ramseyer.

Today is the day that they are going to have the finals of all the competitions and the Regional Director of Education as well as the Regional Dircetor of Sports are present.

As a result, the Prempeh.org Inter-houses Science and Maths quiz will not take place since the time for the quiz is the same time for the athletics.

The headmaster said to the webmaster today that, the quiz will come off next week and because of the postponements will last until the latter part of next term.

Prempeh.org will bring you the details of the competitions held yesterday and today.
