AN INTERVIEW WITH MR. STEPHEN ANOKYE, IMMEDIATE-PAST ASST. HEADMASTER OF PREMPEH & NEW HEADMASTER OF OWASS

    Saturday, December 6, 2003

    prempeh.org: Good morning

    Mr. Anokye: Good morning

Mr. prempeh.org: How do you feel to have been made the head of OWASS?

Mr. Anokye: I feel so glad about my new job and the fact that OWASS happens to be my alma mater makes me joyous.

prempeh.org: Was it a surprise to you?

Mr. Anokye: It came as no surprise since I put in all the effort and experience that I had and I succeeded.

prempeh.org: Talking about experience can we know the source?

Mr. Anokye: In the first place, God is my provider and source of everything. Moreover as a former tutor of Prempeh College and later an Assistant Head, I will say Prempeh has really helped me a lot. I know so much about student behaviour and the running of a school.

prempeh.org: Would you then say Prempeh College made you who you are?

Mr. Anokye: I attribute my success to God and a bit to Prempeh but you know very well that charity begins at home and my home was OWASS.

prempeh.org: Can you compare OWASS to PREMPEH?

Mr. Anokye: This is really a difficult question but I will say that, I can make OWASS better than Prempeh as I helped Prempeh when I was in charge of the Science and Math Quiz.

prempeh.org: What do you have to say about the objection of the Akatakyie to your appointment?

Mr. Anokye: They thought I was going to implement the policy of "suban ne nimdee" but I want them to know that I am my own man. Anyway, if the policies and philosophies are right, I will surely use them.

prempeh.org: Thank you for speaking to us

    Mr. Anokye: You are welcome.
