Aggrey House Report 2002/03

Indeed it is a great privilege being a student leader in Prempeh College. We assumed office as house prefects of Aggrey House for the 2002 / 2003 academic year. We had lot of responsibilities and duties that we had to accomplish and with the help of God, we have done our best to actualize these duties.

As the old adages goes “cleanliness is next to Godliness;” bearing this in mind, our first initiative for Aggrey house was to keep the house as neat as it should be in order to ensure the perpetual flame of this adage burning. Noted for its beautiful flowerbeds, we did all that was within our means to keep these beds in good shape through daily watering of the flowers and regular trimming among others.

Aggrey House stands as of the best House in the school, if not the best of all. As a result of our positive attitude to work, we retracted our steps and took the trophy for being the neatest house on campus after losing it to Guggisberg house for one term. We placed second in the inter-houses athletics competition thanks to the efforts of our sports men. “There cannot be a leader without a follower, neither can there be a follower without a leader, because both are partners in progress”. We would like to seize this opportunity to thank our house members for the numerous ways in which they contributed in making Aggrey house what it is today.

It was indeed a great honour done to the house when three students from Aggrey were selected as part of the National Science and Maths quiz. We thank them for raising the name of Aggrey house in the academic field. Mention must also be made be of the athletes who gave their all to the school when they were called to do so. We pray and ask that the good Lord make you go places. We would like to appreciate the concerted efforts of our housemasters, Mr. Osei Agyekum and Mr. Ambrose. Indeed, your efforts would forever be recognized with gratitude.

Though our term in office was short and very busy, we ask pardon from any one who was offended during our period as leaders of Aggrey house in the discharge of our duties. Our successors will achieve more success in the years to come and also we would like all Aggrey house members to learn as if there is no Aggrey house and also work as if there are no books. Arise Aggrey house and claim your motto “Solum optimum satis”

Yes, only the best is good enough.

Long live Aggrey House
Long live mother Prempeh.
