KNUST held its matriculation ceremony for the class of 2009 today and during the
ceremony
the Vice-Chancellor of the University released
the ranking of schools that produced the highest number of students in the University's first year
class this year.
Prempeh topped the list with 441 students, beating second-place PRESEC by almost 200. The list is as follows:

At the 2004 ceremony, our Headmaster, seated with 39 other heads of schools,
just about to hear the great news that Prempeh is number 1 in the nation.
This is a ranking of the Top 25 schools in the country by KNUST's standards.
It may be recalled that the University filled 50% of its Civil Engineering class
with Prempeh graduates and 80% of thee Electrical Engineering class with
Prempeh graduates. The Biochemistry class comprises of 90% Prempeh products.
Last year, Prempeh topped admissions at the University with 286 students. Within just a year, The Royal School
has nearly doubled that figure.
