As part of the Government's Programme to reward creativity, innovation, excellence and hardwork among Ghanaians,
the national grand medals were awarded to some distinguished Ghanaians, which included several Prempeh grads and
our former headmaster T.A. Osae.

The indefatigable Dr. Akosa, former Ghana Medical Association President and current Director-General of the
Ghana Health Service receiving the Order of the Star of Ghana.

awarded on that day included Ghana's greatest athlete Michael Kofi Ahey, former Bank of Ghana Deputy Governor Mr. Yaw Manu Sarpong,
former Inspector General of Police Mr. Kwaku Kyei, former University of
Cape Coast Vice-Chancellor Rev. Prof. S.K. Agyepong and Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Rev. Dr Robert Aboagye-Mensah.
