July 2, 2006: Flashback 2005: Another Look at our National Quiz Stars
Last year, we showed you photos of our contestants in action at
the National Science Quiz (2005). Here are additional pictures from the 2005 event that we never showed you.
The 2005 National Science Quiz trio Kwame Danso, Kofi Mensah
Tawiah (Captain) and Asiamah Ernest Amponsah.
We started a trend last year by making shirts for them -- the so-called
prempeh.org quiz contestants t-shirts.
Some old boys from Legon came to cheer the boys
The trio and the first reserve Banson displaying their shirts. These boys surprised us when they showed up
at Sofoline to coach the 2006 national quiz contestants.
The whole group again
Kwame Danso entered medical school one year ahead of his peers. Instead of staying home one
year before gaining admission like everyone else, he walked straight from Prempeh to the KNUST Medical School
because he took the SSCE in the first term of form 3 and earned a perfect score.
Asiamah Ernest Amponsah, who wrote Mathematics books at Prempeh, has been admitted to pursue a B.Sc in Petroleum
Engineering at KNUST, where he will enrol in August 2006.
Ackah Andoh Edwin has been accepted for BSc Biochemistry and Twumasi Ankrah for BSc
Theoretical & Applied Biology. All the others join Danso in the Medical School.
This group set a
national record in the quiz last year. This great group consisted of
Mensah Kofi Tawiah, Kwame Asiedu Danso, Twumasi Ankrah Harrison, Asiamah Ernest Amponsah,
Banson Augustine, and
Ackah Andoh Edwin. The rest are Ofosu Sarpong Bright,
Asamaoh Oduro,
Adade Titus and Edward.
On the back of the shirts is: www.prempeh.org. We've been
seing them wearing them in town with pride.
