April 16, 2006: 2 Great National Assignments

June 2006 will be a monumental month in Prempeh history. While our defending national football champions will head to Koforidua to defend the national trophy, our Science Quiz team will be in the nation's capital competing to win the national Science & Maths Quiz trophy for an unprecedented third time. Both of these events will be competing with the FIFA World Cup for national attention.

The Big 12 (Contestants):

Okyere Prince Sebastian (Butler)

Asare Baah Andrews (OT)

Osei-Wusu Joel N. (Freeman)

Aning Daniel Gyawu (Aggrey)

Ayi-Bisah Leonard Lennox (Aggrey)

Osei Prempeh F. Kofi (Pearson)

Tannoh Lewis Yeboah (Serwah)

Bartels Osei Yaw (Gberg)

Adom Baafi Gideon (Pearson)

The following 3 contestants do not have any photos available at this time:

Adu-Darko K.Nyantakyi (Butler)
Agyeman Harry Kwaku (Ramseyer)
Aryeh Derrick Prince

Still the reigning national football champions!! Our 2005 National Champions team that won the Nestle Milo Football competition final at Koforidua. This year's competition will be tough. Our 2004 conquerors, Potsin Gomoa AMASS, who eliminated us via penalty kicks 3-2 in 2004 when we hosted the event at Kumasi Sports Stadium, returns as Central Regional representatives.

Our goal keeper Sampson Otu (Aggrey)

Our captain Ahmed Deedat Amoako (National Player of the Year)

Our outstanding defender Stepehn Okei

Our sensational winger: the best crosser of the ball in the nation and also the nation's fastest youth whose best time in the 100 meters is 10.4 seconds.

The Big Five:

Okyere Prince Sebastian (Butler)

Asare Baah Andrews (OT)

Tannoh Lewis Yeboah (Serwah)

Aning Daniel Gyawu (Aggrey)

Adom Baafi Gideon (Pearson)

When we had a showdown among these contestants in November, the trio of Asare Baah, Adom Baafi and Agyemang Harry defeated Sebastian, Gyawu and Tannoh Lewis by a score of 67-53. The 5 boys shown here are considered the top 5. These are the boys who conquered Cape Coast during the easter break.

Having already won the track and field championships, bringing these 2 prestigious trophies home would be an outstanding achievement! This will be a very fantastic way of ending a year in which we got crowned as Best School, Best Debate School, Best Old Students, Best Science School, Neatest School, Most Disciplined School, Best Business School, Best Quiz School
