Photos of the Week Archive
February 19, 2006: Where are they now?
Of course there is the new captain of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Edmund "Owuo" Owusu Ansah (in red).
|
Do you remember this Science Club President 2002/2003 and Science Quiz contestant, Richmond Adusei Owusu of OT House? In this photo
he was receiving an award at Speech Day.
|
Here is Richmond now, a student at Princeton University who recently
told us how he got there.
|
This picture depicts his first Sunday at Prempeh College. The form 1 boys of OT house posed with
the OT prefects in 2000.
|
Here is Richmond reading the newspaper in OT dorm 5 in 2003, with
VY Gyabaah (who was in form 2), on his far right. Gyabaah went
on to become the S.P. the following year.
|
Let us not forget Douglas Nyame of the Class of 2004 (OT House), a star soccer
player at Anderson College in South Carolina, USA.
|
Douglas could become the second Ghanaian and Amanfoo (beside Prempeh's Dominic Oduro) to be drafted in the US League, if he continues the pace.
By his 3rd year all the scouts from the major teams will be checking out his game.
In 2005, he was named to the NSCAA NCAA Division II Southeast Region All-Region team. Douglas
was also named to the 2005 All-CVAC Conference soccer team at the league's annual banquet.
|
Don't forget Yussif Chibsah, the most educated man in the Ghana premier league, Sports Prefect '96, who is seen in this 2004
Olympic photo (No. 17), captain of the national team in the Athens Olympics.
|
Samuel Adade of the Class of 2002, who holds the super-zonal athletics record of 21.3s in the 200m race
and a West Africa 100m and 200m champion (2004). He is a 2004 Olympian and finalist at the World Junior championship in Italy, finishing 7th.
Adade is currently on an athletics scholarship at Middle Tennessee State University.
