July 24, 2005: The beginning of the Challenge
The Prempeh.org Soccer Challenge: Inter-House League Championship started this weekend (July 23, 2005). Herewith some pictures from the
opening day.
[These pictures are spread on 2 pages].
The trophy, delivered to campus on Friday, July 22nd, 2005. It reads Prempeh.org Soccer Challenge: Inter
Houses League Championship. Ribbons have not been placed on it yet. The trophy for
Most Valuable Player and Goal King are now being designed.

The top of the trophy. The trophy will come with significant amount of cash for the winner. The exact amount is
yet to be determined. The MVP and Goal-King trophies are portable personal trophies intended for keeping by the winner. To this end,
it will have a special citation ingrained on it, taking into consideration the winners' names
and the particular achievement. For example, the goal-king trophy may carry the citation, John Doe - for
scoring 20 goals in the 2005 Prempeh.org Soccer League.

The bottom of the trophy. We will put up another trophy for the Prempeh-OWASS face-off. The Prempeh league champ faces the
champ of Santasi. Should we call it the AkataAman or Amanakata trophy? Next year, the Akatakyie could put up a trophy for another
battle.

Sports master Mr. Asare Lartey with the trophy. He says prempeh.org has a nice taste
and he remains enamored of the whole trophy and keeps asking about the price of it.

Ramseyer house lineup. Because 2 of the 3 Prempeh fields have just been regrassed, we are sparing those for now, in order
to allow the grass to grow. This one being used is the one Asante Kotoko FC used to train on. It is now regularly used by
KESSBEN FC.

Coach advising the players of the importance of fair play. Mr. Asare Lartey advised them about the
"balls don't get past me" mentality, which usually promotes harsh tackling and serious injuries.

Serwah boys listening to the Coach. Presidential Chief of Staff, Mr. Kwadwo Mpianin was a great soccer
player for Serwah House in the 1960s.

The posters the visual arts students, especially Ahmed and
Okei, made and posted at vantage points all over campus.
There is a notation on this poster that states that we are awarding C5,000.00 per goal scored. This is what caused
the graduating seniors, who are ineligible to participate, to rush to the field and assume positions on the field,
claiming that they need to score goals and win some money. It took the sports master to drive them off the field.
