July 25, 2004: Emerging Luminaries.

A look at recent achievers of Sofoline. 6 Prempeh boys are leaving for the USA where they represent Ghana in an International Games. A Prempeh teacher has been adjudged Ashanti's Best teacher. And there is a new Senior Prefect.


From left: Kwame Amo Baffour, Coach Agyengo, Maxwell Amankwah, and George Appiah. These gentlemen, together with 3 others from Prempeh are going to represent Ghana in an international Games in the USA.


Our basketball team in Agyengo's new kit. When the school was searching for funds for a new jersey kit for our basketball team few weeks ago, Coach Agyengo used his own funds to design jerseys for the team. This is not the first time he has done such a thing for the College. [The Agyengo contribution] 6 members of the Prempeh team, together with 2 ladies from Kumasi Girls High, 1 lady from St. Louis Girls, 1 boy from Kumasi High and 1 boy from Kumasi Anglican get to represent our country in athletics and basketball in an international juvenile Olympics in the USA. 14 students were selected, and Prempeh contributed the highest number to this "national team." Coach Agyengo is travelling with them.


Mr. Okyere Darko, Teacher of the Year of Ashanti. He is Social Studies teacher and Opoku Ware Housemaster who came to Prempeh in 2002. Congratulations to him.
