Voting begins.

Amanfoo spent the whole day voting.

Voting for external prefects were held first, then residents of each house went to vote for their House Prefects separately.

It was so elegantly done: no violence, rigging, arguments or corruption. No electoral commission was needed.

In the end, these prefects, who predominantly cherish traditional Twi names as opposed to English Christian names, were elected. The eight most senior prefects -- the so-called Big Eight -- (it used to be Big Nine in the old days), in descending order of seniority, are: Ampong Stephen Osei (Senior Prefect), Demitiah William Kwasi Owusu (1st Asst. Senior Prefect), Asamoah Adu Yaw Agyekum (2nd Asst Senior Prefect), Asare-Addo Daniel (Chapel Prefect), Duah Evans (Asst. Chapel Prefect), Danso Percy Eric (Dining Hall Prefect), Adu-Ababio Kwabena (1st Asst. Dining Hall Prefect), and Amofa Enoch Kwabena (2nd Asst. Dining Hall Prefect).
