I consider Prempeh College as a Heritage worth preserving.
Prempeh College, which was built in 1949, is chalking success every year and I believe the tradition goes on.
For instance in 2000, Prempeh College produced the overall best student in the nation in the SSSCE.
In the current year 2004, Prempeh College emerged the National Champions in the National Debate. On our way to the championship, we eliminated Opoku Ware Secondary School and beat PRESEC, Legon in the finals in Accra.
We also beat OWASS again in the Adae Kese Debate competition to become the first champions in the maiden competition.
We have done so much that I believe you have already read from the website such as in the Maths Quiz
which we took the 1st and 2nd positions after presenting two students. Those students were marvelous.
We also placed 3rd in the National Science and Maths Quiz after eliminating OWASS once again to get to the semi-finals. To talk about sports there are a whole lot.
Do you believe we as a college can make it to the top and maintain it this year and the years to come?
Your college is the key to the Success story of Education in Ghana.
People all over Ghana from the North to the South choose Prempeh College as their 1st choice school thereby making admission really hectic. Last year, 2600 students chose Prempeh College. Unfortunately, however, we could admit 500 of them due to lack of space.
Our student population is well over 2,400. This will have to come down drastically due to lack of space/facilities.
The Osae Assembly Hall we are all proud of can no longer seat the student population at opening and closing assemblies where we sang our memorable songs, GOD BE WITH YOU TILL WE MEET AGAIN...
The problems of lack of space and inadequate facilities can be overcome. You Alumnus/Alumna must stand up to the noble duty of paying back what you took from Prempeh College yester years.
This we must do to preserve the “heritage” - the ever-growing Prempeh College.
